Giorgia Mayes

Giorgia acts for a wide variety of owners and occupiers of commercial real estate, including institutional investors, private landowners, and occupiers of science park, retail, office and warehousing space. Her clients also include developers and lenders.

She advises on a broad spectrum of transactions, including the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, landlord and tenant matters, development financing and property management. A significant element of her work involves the acquisition (with or without funding) and subsequent asset management of commercial property for investment purposes. Giorgia also has a wealth of experience in acting for tenants in the office and science sectors taking leases at new or existing buildings.

Recent work highlights include acting for the seller/tenant in a £22.3 million, five property sale and leaseback transaction, and acting for an anchor tenant taking a £1.35 million p/a lease for office and R&D purposes at a new building.

Giorgia trained at Shearman & Sterling in London, and moved to Cambridge upon qualification in 2014. She joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2018, becoming a managing associate in 2023.
