Charles is an experienced, collaborative practitioner specialising in the highest value and most complex value personal injury claims, particularly brain or spinal cord injury. He has experience in dealing with a variety of types of claims, covering road traffic accidents, accidents at work and accidents in public places.
Over the past 18 years of his career at Stewarts, Charles has settled claims for clients totalling in excess of £200 million. These include high-level spinal cord injury cases, brain injury cases involving minimally aware clients, high-earning City workers, and claims with an international element.
After obtaining a law degree, Charles obtained a masters in International Business Litigation from King’s College London. His training took place at a regional firm where he gained experience to specialise in civil litigation, before moving to a large national firm to focus on personal injury. He joined Stewarts in 2003 and now specialises in only the most severe and complex claims.
Membership of APIL Senior Litigator (APIL)
Charles is a strong believer in collaboration between parties in order to achieve the best outcome for his client. He has given presentations to both insurers and defendant solicitors about the benefits to all parties of a transparent and proactive approach to claims.
