Carlos Bonhome

Counsel. Mr. Bonhome has ample experience in advising financial institutions, particularly insurance sector companies, on commercial and regulatory matters. He advises on issues ranging from the conditions and the legal framework of engaging in the insurance business, preparing and drafting insurance-product clauses, to helping the institutions in their relations and administrative proceedings with the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds. He also has extensive experience advising on transactions and restructuring processes, developing their strategic design and implementing them. He has participated in many joint ventures and strategic collaboration agreements between companies in the finance sector.

Mr. Bonhome has lectured for many years on the legal regime of insurance institutions in the Master in Financial Law at ICADE and the Master in International Legal Practice at the CEU. He also speaks regularly at seminars organized by academies and educational institutions, such as APD, IFAES, IIR, INESE and Instituto de Estudios Fiscales.

He has published several articles on legal topical subjects in different specialized journals and other publications.
