Career
Barnaby Hope is an experienced junior with a strong real estate litigation practice. He also specialises in commercial litigation, company and partnership disputes, insolvency and restructuring, professional negligence and legal costs. He has appeared as sole counsel in the Court of Appeal, High Court, Upper Tribunal, First-tier Tribunal and County Courts.
Barnaby is happy working as sole counsel or as part of a team. He acts for a wide spectrum of clients, from international businesses and high-net worth individuals to legally unsophisticated individuals involved in property disputes.
In 2018 Barnaby was nominated by the Bar Pro Bono Unit for Pro Bono Junior of the Year.
Barnaby is Panel B counsel to the Attorney General.
Barnaby is called to the Bar of the Eastern Caribbean (BVI). He also sits as a Deputy District Judge on the South Eastern Circuit and is a qualified mediator.

Outside of the law, Barnaby is passionate about music and fitness. He plays the drums and DJs, plays tennis badly, runs slowly and helps his wife run a wellness studio in south west London.
