Anuradha Mukherjee is a Partner at the Delhi-NCR office of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and has a strong and varied practice representing and advising clients, both Indian and foreign, in a variety of civil, criminal, commercial, and corporate claims in litigation as well as arbitration.
Over her 32 years of practice, Anuradha has represented and advised a wide variety of Indian, foreign, and multinational corporations in contentious disputes experience advising both Indian and foreign clients in strategizing and undertaking a variety of civil, criminal, commercial, and corporate litigation and arbitrations. She has been actively engaged in a significant commercial disputes, employment-related claims and commercial and infrastructure arbitrations, both domestic and international. She is regularly engaged in matters concerning contractual breaches, employment, electricity, law enforcement, intellectual property and land/ property matters, enforcement of security, recovery claims, white collar crime, and suits for specific performance, and appears before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, trial courts, and tribunals in India, law enforcement agencies and regulators, and arbitral tribunals in domestic and international settings.
Her clients include domestic and international public listed and private sector entities, as well as government bodies. • The Promoters of the Escientia Group, in their successful claim alleging oppression and mismanagement by the majority shareholder of the companies due to breach of the articles of association and conflict of interest arising from promoting a competing business, resulting in a direction to the majority to mandatorily sell their shareholding to the promoters.
• Various clients, including Alibaba Group, Natwest Group, Colliers Group, Good Glamm Group, Fluor Group, Truecaller, Hero Future Energies Private Limited, in employment, provident fund and ESOP related litigation and issues.
• Titan Company Limited in various civil and criminal litigations.
• Crazy Pizza S.A. in an ongoing contractual and intellectual property dispute before the Delhi High Court.
• Blackstone Group in a contentious insolvency matter, in challenges to an approved resolution plan, and various challenges to consequent decisions taken by stakeholders, before the Supreme Court, High Court, NCLAT and NCLT. Anuradha is also representing the Blackstone Group in an arbitration under a construction management contract.

• Sobha Limited in arbitration proceedings and other real estate related disputes and proceedings.
• Smartcity (Kochi) Infrastructure Private Limited in their disputes against contractors relating to construction projects, and tenancy related issues with respect to special economic zones.
• Trinity Buildcon (India) Private Limited in a writ challenging the constitutional validity of Section 63(2) of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1994.

• Re Sustainability Group in various arbitrations with the concerned municipal corporation, pertaining to disputes under concession agreements for solid waste management.
• Sara International Private Limited in its successful damages claim in arbitral proceedings against South Eastern Railways, resulting in a unanimous award of INR 168 crores in favour of the client, presently pending enforcement, and in its claim for release of illegally withheld collateral by a nationalised bank.
• Bharathi Cement Corporation Private Limited (part of the French Vicat Cement group) in various court litigations/ arbitrations, and advising on mining related issues.
• Insilco Limited in its voluntary liquidation proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
• A group company of the Essar Group, in a domestic arbitration and thereafter in a related SIAC arbitration, with respect to a dispute involving a ‘Pay For If Not Taken/ Take or Pay’ obligation under a long-term gas supply contract.
• Various solar companies, including the Photon Group, in tariff-related matters before the State Electricity Commissions, APTEL, and the Supreme Court of India.

• Larsen & Toubro Limited in international arbitration proceedings at Alberta Canada, against a claim filed by a Canadian company (Northwest Redwater Partnership) against manufacture and supply of spools from India to Canada for setting of Refinery. During the pre-arbitration process parties engaged in detailed discovery process and also went through both informal and formal mediation.
• Mumbai International Airport Limited, in domestic arbitration proceedings against Airport Authority of India, at New Delhi, in relation to disputes arising out of the Operation, Management and Development Agreement executed between the parties.
• Essar Bulk Terminal Limited against ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited in a captive port related dispute which involves disputes regarding the port services, amounts to be paid, including depth and draft to be provided and port security liability.
• M/s Star Wire (India) Vidyut Pvt. Ltd. in domestic arbitration proceedings with ISGEC Heavy Engineering Limited in relation to disputes pertaining to an EPC Contract between the parties over breach of the contractual obligations by ISGEC.
• A construction contractor in their disputes arising in World Bank-funded Infrastructure projects in Ghana and Liberia, Africa including blacklisting investigation and enquiry.
• Various construction companies in disputes and claims against the National Highways Authority of India on various highway infrastructure projects.
• ATC Telecom Infrastructure Limited, a passive telecom infrastructure company, in an appeal challenging the arbitrability of a telecommunication dispute before the High Court, and in claims arising from the lock-in period under its contract with telecom companies.
• State of Himachal Pradesh in an arbitration involving a contractual dispute where the issues related to the contribution of heritage land by the State Government against participating in the shareholding of a joint venture company established for running of Wildflower Hall Hotel.
