Career
Alyson Jones serves as Practice Group Leader of Butler Snow’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare Group. She represents pharmaceutical and medical device companies nationwide in complex product liability litigation, handling both large-scale coordinated matters and individual high-exposure cases. She is known for delivering strategic, business-focused defense solutions that align with her clients’ broader objectives.
Alyson regularly leads national and local teams of attorneys and advisors, managing all phases of litigation from early case assessment through dispositive motions and trial. Her experience spans coordinated proceedings, individual plaintiff litigation, and high-stakes matters in jurisdictions across the country. She is particularly valued for her ability to streamline case management, develop cohesive defense strategies, and efficiently oversee multi-jurisdictional litigation.
Her recent experience includes serving as lead counsel in securing summary judgment for a medical device manufacturer in the Middle District of Florida, as well as leadership roles in significant pharmaceutical and medical device matters pending in federal and state courts. She has also served in key coordination roles in large-scale litigation, including as liaison counsel and in leadership positions involving consolidated proceedings.
In addition to her case management experience, Alyson has served on multiple trial teams, including Jackson v. McNeil Consumer Healthcare, recognized as one of CVN’s Top 2015 Defense Verdicts. She also frequently serves as discovery counsel in complex pharmaceutical litigation, overseeing strategy and execution in high-volume, high-stakes environments.
Alyson is ranked by Chambers USA for nationwide Product Liability & Mass Torts, where she is described as “a phenomenal case manager and a strong litigator.” She is also recognized by The Legal 500 US as a Next Generation Partner, noting her ability to manage both coordinated proceedings and individual cases while remaining attuned to business implications.
