Career

Adam is a member of Butler Snow’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets Group. He regularly represents governmental entities, nonprofits, private businesses, housing developers, senior living providers, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, governmental entities, and infrastructure providers in the natural gas, water, sewer, and transportation sectors in public, private, and public-private finance transactions and economic development matters.

In addition to assisting clients with specific transactions, Adam assists and advises clients with forming governmental entities, calling and holding elections, monitoring legislative developments, and understanding the tools they can use to build their projects and communities.

Adam was named a Louisiana Super Lawyers® Rising Star in the area of Governmental Finance, is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and was named to the Council of Development Finance Agencies Louisiana Financing Roundtable Advisory Committee.

Adam obtained his J.D. and M.P.A. from the University of North Carolina and his B.A. from Louisiana State University. Adam is admitted to the State Bar of North Carolina and formerly served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert N. Hunter, Jr. at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

-Served as counsel to nonprofit affordable housing entities concerning property tax exemptions and transferring responsibilities to remain in compliance with the Internal Revenue Code.
