Alice Colarossi

Alice is a partner in Reed Smith’s Transportation Industry Group, in the firm’s New York office. She routinely advises on the financing of vessels, the structuring of vessel ownership, M&A transactions involving shipping companies, and the construction, sales and chartering of vessels. Alice has extensive transactional experience in the maritime sector, and her shipping finance experience extends to both the U.S. and international markets.

Alice also frequently handles Jones Act and other U.S. maritime regulatory matters. She helps clients navigate the requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), the Maritime Administration (MarAd), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC).

Additionally, Alice is a maritime litigator by background and continues to regularly represent clients in charter party and other maritime disputes and vessel arrest cases. Her comprehensive understanding of maritime litigation and shipping finance is particularly helpful in mortgage foreclosure and other maritime enforcement matters.
