Partner. Alfonso Gómez-Acebo specializes in international arbitration; advising on cross-border acquisitions, financial services, shareholders disputes, construction, energy, oil & gas, telecommunications, insurance and sports. He has acted as counsel in over 70 international arbitrations, both institutional and ad hoc, involving private parties, states and state-owned entities with interests in Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa and Western Asia. He also serves as arbitrator.
He advises and represents clients in state court proceedings relating to arbitration, including setting aside, recognizing and enforcing arbitral awards, interim measures and liability of arbitrators.
