Alex Lawrence

Alex is a senior associate in the projects department acting for local government and wider public sector clients, as well as those working with the public sector. He specialises in commercial contracts, public procurement, subsidy control and governance matters.

He has extensive experience as a solicitor, both in-house with a large local authority and in private practice, advising on a range of public sector service areas including waste and environment, highways, transport, leisure, adult social care and children’s social care.

As a commercial solicitor, Alex advises on the development and management of contracts alongside public procurement and subsidy control implications. His governance work includes local government vires, decision-making and the setup/operation of new delivery models such as companies and limited liability partnerships.
