Agustín Siboldi joined O'Farrell in 1998 after serving as in-house counsel at Telecom Argentina. Since 2002, he has played a leading role in the development of the firm's Energy & Natural Resources, Competition and TMT practices. He currently co-leads the Energy practice and advises domestic and international clients on regulatory, contractual and strategic matters involving power, oil & gas, mining, telecommunications, infrastructure and other highly regulated industries. His career combines legal practice, academic activity and active participation in leading industry associations and professional organisations focused on energy, competition law and economic regulation.

Author of numerous publications and articles on energy law, economic regulation, competition law and natural resources. Co-author of a draft renewable energy law prepared jointly with the Argentine Institute of Energy “General Mosconi”, and contributor to a book published following the enactment of Argentina’s renewable energy framework in 2015. Regular speaker and commentator on legal and regulatory developments affecting the power, oil & gas, mining and telecommunications sectors.

Agustín focuses on highly regulated industries, with particular expertise in power generation, renewable energy, electricity markets, oil & gas, mining, telecommunications and infrastructure. He advises clients on regulatory frameworks, project development, commercial and supply agreements, merger control proceedings, competition law matters and interactions with governmental authorities. His practice combines deep industry knowledge with extensive experience in economic regulation and market access issues.
