Afolabi Caxton-Martins' practice focuses on foreign investment laws and regulation, structuring cross border joint ventures, international mergers & acquisitions, and anti-corruption due diligence and compliance. Afolabi is responsible for advising many international companies on foreign investment laws, corporate establishments and accreditation issues. He acts as a consultant to the commercial sections of various embassies in Nigeria, assisting them in trade and investment promotion and protection.
He is a founding partner and the head of the Corporate & Commercial Group of ACAS-Law. In addition to his role in the firm, Afolabi is the Chairman of STL Trustees Limited and sits on the boards of several other companies including FSDH Limited (First Securities Discount House) and Frank’s International Oilfields Services Nigeria Limited.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK.
Afolabi holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1984.
