Mr. Etcheverry leads Skadden’s U.S. litigation practice for Asia-based clients. His presence in Asia is particularly strong in Korea where he is highly praised and recommended by some of the region's most renowned companies. He is an aggressive litigator, representing clients in all facets of U.S. and foreign litigation proceedings, including at trial, in arbitration hearings, and on appeal. He is equally accomplished on both the plaintiff and the defense side of disputes. He advises in industries including technology, automotive, health care, financial services, oil and gas, retail, manufacturing, sports and entertainment, successfully handling high-stakes class actions, individual litigations, business disputes, securities matters, enforcement proceedings and internal investigations. Some of Mr. Etcheverry’s notable representations and achievements for Asia-based clients include a complete trial victory for Kia Motors Corporation, defeating allegations of infringement of a registered trademark. He has also notched multiple case victories for such industry leaders as Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. in securing dismissals of individual and class action lawsuits where potential exposure totaled nearly a trillion dollars.
