Ingrid Vandenborre is the partner in charge of Skadden’s Brussels office. Her practice focuses on EU and international merger control and competition law enforcement.
Ms. Vandenborre has significant experience in Article 101 and 102 issues in relation to cartel arrangements, as well as vertical and competitive agreements and alleged abuse of dominance. She has successfully been able to avoid negative findings against GE, Kuoni and Thomas Cook in recent high profile investigations on aftermarket foreclosure and geo-blocking allegations. She represents GUK, a Mylan entity, in proceedings relating to the first EU patent settlement proceeding.
She also has a significant merger control practice, extending to the EU Commission and the U.K. Competition and Markets authority. Recently Ms. Vandenborre has handled more than $250 billion dollars' worth of complex merger matter, representing PayPal in relation to its Honey acquisition, Visa in relation to its acquisition of Plaid, Stryker in relation to its acquisition of Wright, and ABB in its transaction with Hitachi.
