Thomas Granger is a partner in the Investment Funds Group in Walkers' Hong Kong office. He specialises in corporate work with an emphasis on investment funds and private equity.
Thomas has extensive knowledge of the hedge funds and private equity market in Japan and in particular advises clients on public and private offerings in Japan.
He advises investment managers, investment banks, private equity funds and corporates on private equity investment, fund formation and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience with the structuring, formation and placement of investment funds, such as hedge funds, private equity funds and infrastructure funds, for Australian, Indonesian, Japanese and other Asia-Pacific clients.
In 2005, Thomas joined Walkers' Hong Kong office and became a partner in the Investment Funds Group in 2010. In 2012 Thomas relocated to the Investment Funds Group in the Walkers' Singapore Office. Thomas rejoined the Hong Kong office in 2021.
He was previously with Minter Ellison, based in the Hong Kong office, where he joined the corporate department and developed an expertise in capital markets and private equity. He also spent time in Minter Ellison's Brisbane office as a corporate and commercial lawyer.
