Iain Tucker is a partner in the Insolvency & Dispute Resolution Group at Walkers in the BVI.
He advises on contentious commercial work with a particular focus on international insolvency and fraud-related litigation. Iain brings extensive experience in complex, high-value, cross-border disputes and proceedings. He regularly acts for clients based in the CIS, in particular Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, in addition to clients based in North America, China and East Asia.
Iain has particular experience in assisting clients in relation to freezing orders and other urgent injunctive relief, often in support of foreign Court and arbitration proceedings. He is an experienced advocate and, prior to joining Walkers, in addition to representing clients as solicitor in commercial proceedings at all levels up to and including the English Supreme Court, appeared as solicitor-advocate before both the Commercial Court and High Court, Chancery Division in London. Since joining Walkers, he has appeared in the BVI Commercial Court (frequently as lead advocate), the ECSC Court of Appeal and the Privy Council.
Iain is a member of the Commercial Fraud Lawyers Association (UK).
