Terri Chase, who has been representing employers for more than 30 years, is a litigator who focuses on obtaining results that advance clients' business objectives. Terri defends corporate clients in complex labor and employment litigation, including employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation lawsuits, and trade secret and restrictive covenant matters, and wage and hour actions proceeding in federal and state courts, arbitration, and government agencies. Terri has first-chaired the defense of a number of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employment tort, and breach of contract claims in trials and arbitrations. Terri routinely is called upon to conduct sensitive internal investigations that involve significant reputational and legal risk, and she proactively advises clients on DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) programs and risks; compliance with the patchwork of federal, state, and local employment laws; and developing best employment policies and practices.
Terri also maintains an active pro bono practice, advising small not-for-profit clients on employment matters. In addition, she has advised unaccompanied minors on immigration matters, including working in collaboration with corporate clients on such representations through organizations like Kids in Need of Defense.
