Steven M. Wilker

Practice Areas

Steven is Co-Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Information Privacy & Security Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Managing Board. He counsels clients in complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, media communications and technology, information security, energy, corporate governance, real estate, and finance issues. An AV-rated litigator, Steven is also a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Financial Services & Investment Management practice groups. He recently concluded tenures as Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department and Chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice.

Steven also serves as Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Mediation & Arbitration Services Practice. He brings a direct, patient, and clear-headed communication style to the negotiation table, grounded in extensive experience participating in hundreds of mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations, as well as scores of arbitral and judicial hearings. Steven recently completed the “Mediating the Litigated Case” training from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law.

Steven’s extensive experience in intellectual property matters includes representing former employers, departing employees, and new employers in trade secret litigation and advocating for both plaintiffs and defendants in trademark, copyright, and patent litigation.
