Stacy McLean

Stacy leads the Blakes Investment Products & Asset Management group and is the co-lead of our Fund Formation practice group . Her legal practice focuses on investment funds, fund formation, corporate finance, securities regulatory matters and public company transactions.

Stacy advises Canadian and international asset management companies on the structuring, regulation and registration of closed-end investment funds, mutual funds, structured notes and other structured products. She also works closely with investment dealers, financial institutions and companies on debt and equity financings, registration and regulatory compliance, private placements and fund formation.

She regularly advises public issuers and their boards on various matters, including governance and shareholder engagement.

Stacy is currently a director and Vice Chair of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada. She is also a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association and VersaFi and has served on various committees at Blakes, including the firm's Executive Committee.
