John-Paul Bogden

John-Paul (J-P) is a partner in the Blakes Corporate group and focuses on M&A and private equity transactions. He serves as regular M&A counsel to leading financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers in Canada, the US and abroad, and is also frequently engaged as special sellside M&A counsel in competitive auction processes.

J-P currently serves as co-head of the national Private Equity group and co-head of the Vancouver corporate group, and has served as a member of the Firm’s compensation and partnership committees.

J-P is a member of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, the BC Technology Industry Association and the Vancouver chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
