Shari Cohen

Shari advises domestic and international clients on a wide range of employment and labour matters, including the employment aspects of commercial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. She counsels clients on human resource planning, helping them mitigate employment-related legal risks and develop workplace policies and best practices. Shari regularly negotiates contractual arrangements for employers, including employment and consulting agreements, incentive compensation, confidentiality and restrictive covenant terms, and termination arrangements. She represents clients in judicial and administrative proceedings, including human rights disputes, wrongful dismissal litigation and grievance arbitrations. Shari is a frequent speaker on employment law topics, including a recent presentation to the CACE Corporate Commercial Transactions Committee on employment law strategies for asset transactions.
