Ruth Zadikany

Ruth Zadikany is Co-Leader of Mayer Brown’s US Employment Litigation and Counseling Group and a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. A seasoned litigator, Ruth focuses her practice on representing clients across a broad spectrum of labor and employment matters, as well as other high-stakes, complex litigation. Ruth has been recognized as a leading employment lawyer by prominent legal publications, including Chambers USA, Legal 500 US and Benchmark Litigation.

Ruth brings extensive experience defending employers in wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA representative actions. Her work in this area encompasses claims involving employee misclassification, meal and rest break violations, failure to pay overtime, work-off-the-clock and rounding of time records, inaccurate pay statements, failure to reimburse necessary business expenses, and waiting-time and other penalties. She also regularly represents employers in individual, class and collective actions involving claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), retaliation (including whistleblower-type claims), and unequal pay. In addition, Ruth represents companies in a variety of other complex disputes, including actions to enforce or defend against violations of restrictive covenants, as well as actions under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
