Scott Buser

Scott Buser is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Real Estate Markets practice. He has substantial experience in counseling clients on the acquisition, financing and development of property for multi-family, single-family, self-storage, industrial, office and retail uses and is one of the few pre-eminent practitioners representing institutional equity investors in joint venture arrangements on the West Coast and throughout the Western US. He likewise assists foreign investors with in-bound US real estate investments and counsels clients on the acquisition of distressed debt, including portfolio recapitalization and the navigation of CMBS loan consent processes with special servicers and rating agencies. Additionally, he represents borrowers in complex real estate finance transactions as well as providers of preferred equity and mezzanine loans.
