Matthew D. O'Meara

Matt O'Meara has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in complex debt financing transactions with a focus on domestic and cross-border acquisition finance. He regularly advises clients such as asset managers, banks, finance companies, business development companies, private credit funds, institutional investors, and issuers in structuring, negotiating, and documenting senior and senior-stretch loans, second lien loans, mezzanine financing, unitranche and private equity investments.

In addition, Matt has extensive experience advising creditors on debt restructurings and out-of-court workout matters including restructuring support agreements, debt-for-equity exchanges and Article 9 remedies. He is currently ranked in Chambers for Banking & Finance-Illinois and is a “Recommended Individual” in Legal 500 USA’s Commercial Lending Category.
