A co-chair of the K&L Gates Labor, Employment and Workplace Safety practice, Ms. Alito represents management in employment law and employee benefit law issues. She defends employers in litigation including employment discrimination, wage and hour, whistleblowing, harassment and employee benefit plan terminations, and provides counsel on workplace issues, policies and compliance. An experienced litigator in trials and appeals in both state and federal courts, she has served as lead counsel in the successful defense of class actions under ERISA, the EPA, the ADEA, the FLSA and the LMRA, and in trials of class actions defending the termination of retiree medical benefits.
Rosemary is the author of the treatise, New Jersey Employment Law, first published in 1992 and updated annually. She is the author of numerous articles on employment law topics.
