Career

Ronnie’s employment practice encompasses claims for unlawful competition and misuse of confidential information; the full range of claims in the Employment Tribunal; and industrial relations disputes. He is regularly instructed to act for claimants and respondents at lengthy hearings involving claims for discrimination, victimisation and whistleblowing. Clients include major employers in the technology, travel and entertainment sectors; as well as senior executives, office holders and professionals. Recent High Court cases include team move litigation in the property sector, claims for urgent injunctive relief to protect confidential information, and equal pay litigation (Beal v Avery Homes (Nelson) Ltd). Recent Tribunal cases include defending a bonus policy against claims of indirect sex discrimination; defending claims for disability discrimination, whistleblowing and automatic unfair dismissal at a 12-day hearing; and acting for the former CFO of a PLC seeking interim relief.
