Career
Rodrigo leads Galicia’s Commercial & Civil litigation and co-heads the Investment Arbitration practice.
Ranked in Band 1 by Chambers, Rodrigo is described as an outstanding practitioner, and a leading figure across litigation and arbitration.
Rodrigo has participated in some of the most relevant recent cases dealing with contractual, shareholders, infrastructure, construction and energy disputes, among many other subjects. Specifically, he has led the legal team in several litigations against Mexican government entities, including state-owned enterprises from the energy sector.
Rodrigo is a member of the Mexican Committee of the ICC, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), the London Court of International Arbitration, the Latin American Group of the ICC, the Mexican Arbitration Institute and the Mexican Energy Law Academy, among other organizations.
He is member of the Greener Arbitrations LAC Sub-Committee. The purpose of the Sub-Committee is to promote the use of the Greener Arbitrations Protocols in LatAm and the Caribbean, as part of the Green Pledge.
Rodrigo graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City) and obtained (LL.M.) degree from NYU.
