Robert Ludwig

Robert is a Partner on the Banking team in our London office, with over a decade of experience in all areas of real estate finance.

His practice covers a broad range of transaction types, including acquisitions, developments, refinancings, loan/portfolio acquisitions, loan-to-own transactions, debt buybacks and restructurings.

Robert acts for both lenders and borrowers across the capital structure, including banks, financial institutions, funds, and investment companies. He has particular experience advising on complex intercreditor issues, having acted for both senior and mezzanine lenders on a variety of structured real estate financings.

He has strong cross-border experience having worked across multiple jurisdictions, including spending a year working in European offices (Amsterdam and Munich). Before joining the firm, Robert spent nine years at a Magic Circle law firm and 18 months on secondment to J.P. Morgan, Barclays and Starwood Capital, performing legal, structuring and transaction management roles.
