R Ian Crosbie

Ian is a senior tax partner who draws on more than 30 years of experience to advise on a wide range of domestic and cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, structuring, financings and financial products. Known for his expertise across diverse industries, Ian is relied on by clients for ongoing strategic and general tax advice. He advises Canada-based multinationals on international tax matters and assists corporations with their reorganization and restructuring activities. Private equity fund clients rely on his extensive expertise in fund formation and fund investments. He also advises on corporate tax matters and tax dispute resolution. Ian is past chair of the executive of the Canadian Bar Association and Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada Joint Committee on Taxation and a past governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
