Paula Moreira Indalecio is a criminal lawyer with over 20 years’ experience. She works with both domestic and international clients on advisory and litigation matters concerning highly complex white-collar crime cases involving various industry sectors, particularly those involving technology and security-related issues. In 2001, Paula graduated in Law from São Paulo’s Pontificia Universidade Católica – where she also served as a teaching assistant in criminal law classes.
Paula also holds postgraduate degrees in Corporate Criminal Law at the Fundação Getulio Vargas Law School (FGVLaw) and in European and Economic Criminal Law at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) – in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences since 2005. She obtained an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Capital and Financial Markets Law from IBMEC São Paulo (now known as Insper).
An advisor to the Movimento de Defesa da Advocacia (‘Lawyer Defense Movement’) since its inception, Paula served as vice-president of its Criminal Affairs Commission between 2010 and 2011. Since 2017, she has participated in annual discussion meetings at the Global Forum on Corporate Criminal Liability (organized in Europe by Cambridge Forums) as both a panelist and a member of the event’s steering committee in 2019. In 2022, Paula also joined the Council of Prerogatives of the Brazilian Bar Association – São Paulo Chapter (OAB-SP).
