Career

Ligia works with complex litigation cases, particularly product and service liability disputes, financial services, recalls, business practices, and advertising, which involve long-term commitments to clients in the automotive, pharmaceuticals, technology, and food sectors, among others. Ligia has extensive experience in litigating issues concerning automotive manufacturing and sales (covered under Brazil’s ‘Ferrari Law’) in Brazilian courts. She also provides consulting and handles administrative issues while staying in regular contact with Brazilian authorities.

Ligia has authored various articles on Consumer Relations, notably on collective actions, the Over-Indebtedness Law, marketplace platforms, and Fluid Recovery. She has also been a speaker at local seminars on good practices in the consumer market. Ligia has been a Brazilian Competition, Consumer and International Trade Studies Institute (IBRAC) member for over seven years.
