Paola actively leads cases involving complex negotiations with the State and consults on public policies and on defining business strategies. She participate in matters that are highly sensitive and detailed when making decisions, such as signing contracts with the State, restructuring a business, or litigation processes.

She has significant experience in handling different situations in the public and private sectors, both in terms of specific cases and forming part of task forces formed to assist in developing regulations for the Government.

Paola directs the Tax and Transfer Pricing teams, and also works closely with the Public Procurement and Immigration areas.

She is the founder and director of the Ecuador chapter of the International Fiscal Association. Paola is also a member of the Tax and State Contracts Committees in the International Chamber of Commerce. She also co-directs the Ecuador chapter of the Woman in the Profession program, created by the Vance Center, which seeks to promote the participation of women in the legal profession.

In addition to the pro bono activities of the firm, Paola actively collaborates with national non-profit entities and international non-governmental organizations.
