Pablo leads the firm's Tax and Fiscal Planning practice and brings over two decades of experience in the Ecuadorian market. He advises domestic and international clients on the tax implications of contracts, transactions, corporate structures and reorganisations, and on tax planning, compliance, income tax, withholding and refund processes, combining tax efficiency, economic substance and legal certainty.

He represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities and in tax litigation before the courts, from the prevention and diagnosis of contingencies to the design and execution of defence strategies. Over his career he has advised financial institutions, telecommunications and media companies, multinational consumer-goods businesses and Ecuadorian companies across many sectors. He also advises on anti-money-laundering and regulatory compliance and holds a compliance-officer qualification from the UAFE.

Pablo is also recognized for his ability to combine deep technical knowledge with a practical understanding of business operations, which allows him to craft solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client. Throughout his career, he has advised national and multinational companies on sophisticated tax planning, compliance, and controversy matters, consolidating his standing as one of the leading tax practitioners in Ecuador.
