A seasoned and senior partner, Martin (Marty) Emmons has a broad-based real estate practice focused on the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, and the development of significant real estate projects. Advising Canadian, U.S. and other non-Canadian parties in the structuring of their real estate investments in Canada, Marty has significant experience with joint ventures, co-ownerships, limited partnerships, long-term ground leases, land exchanges and other similar structures.

Regularly handling large and complex real estate transactions, Marty acts on behalf of several of the largest real estate development firms in Canada, pension funds, pension fund advisors, private real estate developers, public hospitals and a number of significant U.S. based real estate companies and REIT’s.

Marty oversees a team of skilled and talented real estate lawyers providing the full spectrum of real estate services to our clients. Transactions involve all real estate asset classes (office, industrial, retail and mixed-use projects), major portfolio transactions comprising assets across the country, ground lease transactions and sale lease backs.
