Oskar van de Weijer is a partner in our Insurance Sector Group, and litigates and advises on policy disputes, particularly for issues related to PI, W&I and D&O policies. He represents insurers, insureds and brokers and has been involved in several major issues in the market over the last year in several matters concerning D&O, PI, construction and financial institutions. He gained in-depth knowledge of the Lloyds market through his 9-month secondment in London, at the CMS UK offices as well as in-house with leading insurers such as QBE and Neon. Oskar also frequently advises on the drafting of insurance policies and the design of (international) insurance programs, and on (D&O) insurance matters in insolvency.
Oskar has been with CMS since 2018 after having worked as an insurance lawyer at another law firm for five years. Oskar is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar and completed the post-graduate Grotius specialisation course Enterprise & Liability with honors. He is also active in national and international (insurance) associations.
