Oded Ofek is a partner in the firm, heading the firm’s Capital Markets: Investment Houses, Institutional Investors, and Financial Service Providers practice.
Mr. Ofek specializes in representing, accompanying, advising, and supporting a large number of clients – including investment firms in all of their operations (fund managers, portfolio managers, investment advisors), financial services providers (credit providers and financial asset services providers as well as fintech), trustees for undertaking funds and certificates (bonds and debentures), financial brokers, brokerage houses, financial planners, agents, family offices, hedge funds, and institutional entities involved in the capital markets – while taking an active role in their regulatory compliance plan by guiding all of the central professional associations in the field in the relationships between entities subject to oversight with the economic regulatory authorities in Israel, including the Securities Authority; the Capital Market, Insurance, and Savings Authority; the Bank of Israel; etc.
In the course of representing some of the most important organizations and clients in the capital markets, Mr. Ofek regularly appears before the various regulatory bodies, government ministries, government committees, blue-ribbon panels reviewing changes to legislation and regulation, and the Israeli Knesset and its committees.
Mr. Ofek is proud of his contributions to his clients’ day-to-day legal lives as well as shaping legislative arrangements and first-rate guiding rules in the capital markets while creating immeasurable value for his clients throughout the years.
Mr. Ofek specializes in financial regulation, securities law, corporate law, commercial law, commercial litigation, and business crisis management.
Given Mr. Ofek’s unique expertise, he serves as legal advisor to the Association of Mutual Investment Fund Managers, which unites all mutual fund managers in Israel, the Association of Capital Market Trustees, which unites trustees for undertaking funds and certificates (bonds and debentures) in Israel, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Brokers Association (TBA), which unites all members of the stock exchange who are not banks, and the Chamber of Commerce’s Association of Credit Companies, which unifies the largest credit companies in the industry.
