Nikola Babić is a partner who heads banking & finance practice group. He is specialised in banking and finance, project finance and restructuring/ insolvency. Nikola has represented investment and commercial banks as lenders, in a wide range of financing transactions. Some of Nikola's recent assignments include advising ICBC on financing of Mozura wind project in Montenegro, EBRD in few legislative projects in Montenegro, and Deutsche Bank and SocGen on the preparation of legal opinion in relation to OTC derivatives trading under the ISDA documentation with the State of Montenegro. Nikola was also leading almost all Eurobond transaction in the region in the past decade whereas only in the last 12 months he advised the Joint Lead Managers on issuances of Eurobonds by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro with the combined value of EUR 4,5 billion. Nikola is continuously ranked as a top-tier attorney in finance-related research by the leading legal directories and is regarded as a leading lawyer for public finance and sovereign debt.
