Natalia Zibibbo is counsel in Freshfields' international arbitration group, based in New York. Natalia has extensive experience in investment and commercial disputes in Latin America and other emerging markets. She has acted as counsel in more than 20 high profile commercial and investment treaty arbitration proceedings under ICC, DIS, ICSID, ICSID Additional Facility and UNCITRAL rules, in both English and Spanish. Natalia has also acted on a regular basis as ad hoc clerk in arbitral proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland. She currently represents multinational companies with investments in Latin America, mainly in the energy, mining, telecommunications and agro-industry sectors.​

She was named a ‘Rising Star’ by Law360 in 2017, recognizing her as one of just three outstanding arbitration practitioners in the nation under the age of 40. Since 2020, Natalia has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as one of the top practitioners in the field of international arbitration. She is also recognized as a Rising Star by Legal 500 Latin America (2022-2024) and in the 2nd edition of Lawdragon 500 X - The Next Generation (2024) in the international arbitration category. ​

Natalia is an active member of the international arbitration community. She is a founding member of the Latin America Committee of the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations, a global initiative to reduce the carbon footprint of international arbitrations through behavioural change. She is also serving on CPR Institute’s Y-ADR Steering Committee (2023-2026 term).

Natalia received her law degree from University of Buenos Aires, a degree in Spanish law from Universidad de Alcalá and her Master of Law and Business MLB from Bucerius Law School and Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany. She is admitted to the bar in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant in New York State and the District of Columbia. ​

Natalia speaks English, Spanish, French and German.​
