Global Chair of the Intellectual Property & Technology Group at Dentons as well as Chair of its legacy Fashion, Apparel, and Beauty practice, Monica represents many of the world’s biggest names in entertainment, fashion, and financial services. Monica advises on trademark and copyright matters generally; licensing; trademark selection, global filing programs and portfolio management; due diligence; adversarial proceedings; and drafts and negotiates intellectual property and commercial agreements.

Prior to joining Dentons, Monica lead the trademark practice at a national firm and served as a law clerk for then-Chief Judge Loren A. Smith of the US Court of Federal Claims.

Monica contributes to publications such as Women’s Wear Daily and American Corporate Counsel Docket. Additionally, she has spoken to bar and industry groups, including the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the New York City Bar and the International Trademark Association. She has served as a guest lecturer at The Fashion Institute of Technology. The Wall Street Journal and USA Today have quoted Monica and IPLaw360 and other news outlets have highlighted her adversarial proceedings.
