Jim Williams is a shareholder in Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham, Alabama office, where he is a member of the Litigation practice group, leads the Insurance Litigation team and previously served six years on the Firm’s Board of Directors/Executive Committee. Williams also chairs the Firm’s Recruitment Committee. Williams was born and raised in Birmingham. Now in his thirty-second year at Dentons Sirote, formerly Sirote & Permutt, PC, Williams handles civil litigation, with a particular focus on life, health and disability insurance litigation; insurance coverage disputes; banking, investment and financial institution litigation; trust, estate, and probate litigation; shareholder oppression and derivative lawsuits; construction litigation; and all forms of commercial litigation on behalf of individuals and businesses. Williams has handled matters in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, and Arkansas. He also handles appeals in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Williams is licensed in Alabama and Georgia.
