Partner in Dentons’ Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group, Sam leads the Firm's healthcare industry restructuring efforts nationwide. He has served as lead counsel to debtors, committees, trustees, government entities, and individual creditors, including representing the debtors in the second largest hospital bankruptcy in American history. He is an expert in the issues which arise in the sale of financially distressed, non-profit healthcare entities. He has also served as a Trustee, Examiner, Patient Care Ombudsman and Consumer Privacy Ombudsman.
Formerly a partner in a national bankruptcy boutique, previously he also served in the US Army, first as an Infantry Officer and subsequently as a Judge Advocate General, and served as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the US Department of Justice.
