Michael Sirota is Co-Managing Shareholder Emeritus and Chair of the Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department at Cole Schotz. A nationally recognized leader in bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, and complex commercial litigation, he has played a leading role in numerous high-profile chapter 11 cases, representing clients, both in and out of the courtroom, in matters involving billions of dollars in debt and businesses ranging from middle-market companies to globally recognized brands. He represents publicly and privately held debtors, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, indenture trustees, venture capitalists, private equity/hedge funds and parties with strategic interests in distressed situations and insolvency proceedings throughout the country.

He counsels clients on all facets of restructurings, leveraging decades of experience to develop practical, value-maximizing strategies in distressed and special situations.
