Marquard Christen advises on all aspects of Swiss and EU competition law including horizontal cooperations, distribution agreements, abuse of dominance and relative market power, merger control and damage claims. He has acquired particular expertise in various industries including automotive, construction, consumer goods, IT, pharma, telecommunication, and payment solutions.
Marquard Christen studied law at the Universities of Fribourg and Leuven (lic. iur., 2000), New South Wales (LL.M., 2007) and Geneva (MAS, 2011). He worked for CMS as a trainee (2001 – 2002) and later as an associate (2003 – 2006). From 2008 – 2010 Marquard acted as a delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross, before rejoining CMS in 2011. He was promoted to partner in 2016.
