Mark is National Head of Freeths' Private Client Dispute Resolution team. With more than 30 years' experience, he advises on complex and high-value contentious trust and probate disputes, including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, will challenges, trustee removal applications and cases with an international element.
A qualified commercial mediator since 2010, Mark has conducted more than 700 mediations and is regularly instructed to mediate contentious trust and probate disputes. He is also frequently appointed by the High Court as an independent replacement trustee or administrator in contested estates, including estates valued at up to £30 million.
Mark is a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), sits on its organising committee, and is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He also serves on the Board of Nottingham Law Centre and acts as trustee for a number of family trusts and estates.
