Margo Soule provides guidance about employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Her clients include national, regional and Kansas City-based public and privately owned corporations and tax-exempt organizations. These clients are leading entities in many sectors including financial, retail, service, automotive, consumer products, and healthcare. Margo specializes in executive incentive compensation, deferred compensation and 409A issues.
Margo also specializes in designing and drafting qualified profit sharing, pension and stock bonus plans and providing guidance on plan administration matters including plan fiduciary training, compliance with ERISA standards, and special issues in connection with corporate transactions.
She regularly represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. She has been a leader in planning and implementing leveraged employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and is an active member of The ESOP Association. Margo also advises individual clients on estate planning and business succession planning issues and advises fiduciaries on the administration of trusts and estates.
