Lisa Ropple

Lisa Ropple is a nationally recognized cybersecurity lawyer and Practice Leader of Jones Day's global Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice. Lisa has represented clients in connection with cyber incidents of all types, including ransomware and nation state attacks, and on some of the largest, highest profile data breaches in history. Lisa brings a pragmatic, strategic approach and seasoned litigation and crisis management skills to helping companies effectively respond to incidents with an eye to minimizing downstream legal risk. She handles all aspects of cyber incident investigation and response, including directing privileged forensic investigations, advising internal incident response teams, engaging with law enforcement authorities, analyzing notification requirements, developing communication strategies, and advising senior management and boards of directors on response and risk mitigation strategies. She also defends clients against ensuing regulatory investigations and litigation, and advises executive leadership and boards of directors on cybersecurity governance and risk mitigation.

Lisa also served for many years as the head of litigation for the Firm's Boston Office. She has over thirty-five years’ experience representing public and private companies in complex litigation matters and government investigations.
