Lisa Ropple

Lisa Ropple is a leading cybersecurity lawyer and co-leader of Jones Day's worldwide Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice. She has extensive experience advising companies on cyber incident response and has represented clients in connection with some of the largest, highest profile data breaches in history. Applying her experience leading cyber incident response both as outside counsel and as in-house counsel, Lisa brings a pragmatic, strategic approach and crisis management skills to helping companies effectively respond to incidents while also minimizing downstream legal risk.

Lisa handles all aspects of cyber Incident investigation and response, including directing privileged forensic investigations, advising internal incident response teams, engaging with law enforcement authorities, analyzing notification requirements, developing communication strategies, and advising senior management and boards of directors on response and risk mitigation strategies. She also defends clients against ensuing regulatory investigations and litigation. Lisa also regularly advises companies on cybersecurity governance and incident response preparedness.

Lisa also serves as head of litigation for the Firm's Boston Office. She has over three decades of experience representing public and private companies in complex litigation matters and government investigations.
