Career

Lisa previously worked as a non-contentious banking solicitor in a leading global law firm specialising in international syndicated lending and property finance transactions. While there, Lisa was seconded to the structured products team of a bank and gained specialist experience in derivatives and securitisation transactions. Lisa now acts regularly in banking disputes for both customers and banks. She has acted as both junior and sole counsel in numerous high value claims relating to the mis-selling of complex structured interest rate hedging products and foreign exchange products. Lisa also regularly acts for banks and other mortgage lenders on professional negligence claims in the property finance context, including claims against solicitors and valuers relating to the overvaluation of commercial property developments. In the area of banking and finance, Lisa has been rated as “a strong junior” who is “very clever, very quick and very commercial" and whose advice “is clear and commercial". She has also been described as “a pleasure to deal with”.
