Career

Judy Fu is a rising star for international arbitration and commercial litigation work. She offers clients a broad range of expertise across the commercial spectrum, with notable sector strength in shareholder and energy and natural resources disputes.

Judy’s matters often have an international or cross-border element. In addition to a busy practice in London, Judy is regularly instructed in disputes seated in other major arbitration centres - having appeared as counsel in arbitrations conducted under LCIA, ICC, SCC, ICSID, HKIAC, SIAC, and UNCITRAL Rules. She also accepts offshore instructions, having been called to the Bar of the BVI. Further, Judy also offers clients fluency in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Being a native of Hong Kong, she has worked extensively in Asia and China-related disputes.

Before coming to the Bar in 2019, Judy practised as a solicitor at a US law firm. Clients recognise and appreciate that that experience provides “great value” given her high level of experience, relative to her year of call.

Alongside practice as counsel, Judy accepts appointments as an arbitrator.
