Practice Areas
Leo has a varied practice, with a number of overlapping specialisms in employment, data protection, public, education and regulatory law. His wide-ranging experience enables him to give end-to-end advice and representation across these fields, particularly to public authority clients such as local authorities and regulators. Leo has particular expertise in matters of financial and professional regulation, having done an extended secondment at the Financial Conduct Authority, and sits on the Bar Standards Board panel of prosecuting counsel. Leo spent several years contributing to the Sheldon Review on Historical Allegations of Sexual Abuse in Football, which gave him particular insight into child protection and safeguarding issues which often arise in employment and education contexts. He hosts the 11KBW Panopticon Podcast, which discusses emerging topics in media and information law, and is an editor of the 11KBW Panopticon Blog. He is the co-author of two upcoming books on information law and employment law, being published by the Law Society and Oxford University Press (having contributed chapters to a number of practitioner works on employment law and financial regulation).
